It is only a Mata of time before Manchester United are back playing at Old Trafford.
United welcome Crystal Palace in the Premier League on the weekend and Juan Mata is looking forward to getting back on home soil.
The midfielder posted in his official blog: “It’s been a long while and the team misses it, as you’d expect when your home is somewhere so special. You want to get back to playing there as soon as possible and put in a good showing for the fans.”
United will be hoping to secure three points against Crystal Palace, before turning their attentions turn to Champions League commitments for Manchester United v Young Boys at Old Trafford.
Mata said: “We are heading towards two consecutive home matches. This week we play Crystal Palace before, three days later, we go up against Young Boys in the Champions League.”
The Spanish midfielder is hoping that his side can make home advantage count with the busy festive period approaching and games coming thick and fast.
Mata added: “We are going to play knowing the importance of them, motivated to keep moving forward and to get into December in good spirits.
“In the last month of the year, we have plenty of fixtures and it is key to get to this part of the season in good form in England to ensure you have a more successful campaign.”
In December, United host Arsenal, Fulham before welcoming Huddersfield on Boxing Day, then Bournemouth before the New Year. Football Ticket Pad has availability on all upcoming matches, click here for prices on all Manchester United tickets.
